The friends of Woodheys park are presently looking for members for the inaugural year of the Woodheys Park Pitch and Putt team. Over the coming months we will be looking to put on a number of events within the park and building up a team which can challenge in competitions around the UK.

We anticipate that the pitch and putt team will have an active role in assisting the Friends group and Trafford parks and greenspaces on how best to actively manage the pitch and putt at a user’s level. Encouraging more people to make use of the facilities and developing links with schools and local social groups to encourage these to take advantage of the pitch and putt facilities. Dependant on how popular this is we may well have a junior and senior team and we envisage mini tournaments being held at this park during the latter half of the season.

We are already in discussion with the British Pitch and Putt association about getting this course registered with them and promoted across Europe and so local tournaments could be attended by members and teams from much further afield once established.
